Below are some great fun games. Score a goal in this fun game that is ideal for pre-season training and developing technique. This session helps players brush up on their passing, their runs off the ball, dribbling and close range finishing Sometimes the break can be annoying for teams that have been playing well - first the coronavirus has stopped the season then along comes the winter holiday. But to give the kids a break it is always a good idea to do things they love to play and have fun at the last training session of the year.

This is a great game since it provides a natural handicap that makes even the most unequal of teams in terms of player skill equal. We're all facing up to what we can do during the lockdown where there can only be one or two people in a gathering. So here is a game that can be played with one or two that is good fun and skilful MORE.

Great for any age group, getting brains warmed up with gentle running and getting players to concentrate and think about what they have to do. Simple but very effective.

Getting back into the swing of training every week can be hard work. It is such a busy time of the year and parents and coaches alike still need to think about getting to training and running sessions that keeps the players focused even though their minds are on Christmas. And the fact that they had their Christmas party at the club at the weekend already gives an end of term feel! Each player gets one pass and has two touches to try to score.

Whichever team scores the most goals stays on and the other team becomes the servers. Get the servers to pass with different heights and speed. Great for two-touch skills where the first touch sets up a shooting chance. Technique is important as each player only gets one chance to shoot and must concentrate and try hard not to be the one who misses. It is a great session for a warm-up on match day. The defending team has two goalkeepers in the goal at a time.

If they get scored on they must run out of the goal and tag the next two goal keepers who then take position in the goal. The shooting team will wait for the coach to distribute balls to the right and the left. Encourage the shooting player to strike the ball on her first touch. After shooting the player goes to the end of the opposite shooting line. The shooting team gets one minute to get as many goals as they can. The coach will be distributing balls quickly every 2 to 3 seconds.

This keeps the game moving quickly and encourages players to stay focussed.
