Really shocked but that Uninstaller program really works, you have to pay, but i thought it was worth it, having a lot of computer troubles in deleting files and its searches your whole database to include regristy, cool stuff.

I then went to uninstall zune and it asked if I was sure I wanted to uninstall it and after clicking yes it uninstalled zune and then a message said that Zune was deleted from my computer. Thank you so much. I noticed that in XP anyway the installation appeared to finish no problem In particular there was legacy devices that you just couldn't delete. You have to chage the security and take ownership of the registry folder and then you can delete these.

Once you have deleted every reference to Zune in the registry and deleted any folders related to zune on your hard drive then it will install just like new. You might have to set your folder view to show hidden and system files to make sure you get rid of all the folders.

If you are reinstalling you might want to leave the zune folders in your music and pictures folder because they will have your playlists and photo stuff.

After windows telling me that it "was" uninstalled, countless times, it was still there. This solved it for me; I went into program files and scrolled to the bottom and right clicked zune, then went into the security tab and gave myself "full control" of the file and its contents, which I should have had in the first place, then clicked apply, and deleted the folder. I clicked yes, went to my desktop and deleted the shortcut and bam I was done with zune. I'm getting so fed up with microsoft and windows I have decided to go mac.
