I have no issues in downloading updates from support. I ran the FixIt from KB [non-drastic]. Any chance it is an authentication issue related to the ActiveX that is installed for the catalog? Did you upgrade to Win7, was Win7 preinstalled when you bought the computer, or did you do a clean install? What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your subscription current? What anti-spyware applications other than Defender? What third-party firewall if any? Has a nother Norton application or a McAfee application ever been installed on the computer? Did a Norton free-trial or a McAfee free-trial come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it?

As I said at the beginning, I think there was something odd with the ActiveX and this "result" points towars that. I just encountered the same issues in IE11 on Windows 7. The problem was resolved by simply trying the same once again. I added "product" to the basket.
