Many girls are very upset and deeply affected by the fact that every year they were denied the opportunity to be enrolled in science and engineering classes.

Knowledgeable nice stuff, kind atmosphere. Amazing school. Love this school! Students at this school are making more academic progress from one grade to the next compared to students at other schools in the state. Strong progress with high test scores means students have strong academic skills and are making bigger gains than their peers at other schools in the state.

I agree that this school is a powerhouse of academics. They take their high academic standing very seriously. They are on par with private schools we have attended.

Attendance is tightly monitored. I find the PTA to be a well oiled machine designed to keep maintain their high academic standing. The school is not particularly diverse ethnically or economically because the city is not diverse in those ways. The teachers are friendly, involved and fun.

There are seasonal activities throughout the year aimed to educate too. I don't however find a lot of the PTA representatives to be particularly friendly. They are business women with an agenda. We experienced a bit of bullying around my daughter's glasses, which she promptly lost. I think the school is a superior school to most California public schools. Boyd, to the Principal, Mr. And a major plus is the on-campus YMCA. Great structure with excellent staff. My son hates being sick because he loves school and the Y so much! One more thing, my son is a five-year old who already can read second grade level, knows addition and subtraction up to 12 and more , and is already learning multiplication. The school is so well organized that kids like him are not held up as the class waits for others to catch up. With all of the volunteers, his classroom is split up into centers.
